Description
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission to Georgia (USAID/Georgia) is gathering information related to an anticipated activity in support of the U.S. Government’s efforts to identify and foster creative, cutting edge, and effective approaches to strengthen quality media and information in Georgia so that it can more effectively fulfill its crucial function in support of democracy, human rights, and good governance. This is a Request for Information (RFI). The intent of this RFI is to conduct market research to help shape USAID’s strategy for strengthening quality media and information in Georgia. We are seeking responses from interested individuals and organizations to provide information and recommendations. This Notice is issued for the purpose of providing stakeholders an opportunity to review and provide comments on the attached preliminary description of purpose, objectives and program activities. If you would like to provide comments, please submit no more than five (5) pages of comments no later than December 14, 2021, 10:00 AM Tbilisi Time, via email to mchelidze@usaid.gov and rcocaucasus@usaid.gov. This Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) or a Request for Applications (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government to issue any solicitation or funding opportunity or make an award; nor does it commit the Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of any comments. Any funding proposals submitted in response to this request will not be considered. Responses to this notice must be received no later than the due date stated above in this notice. All materials submitted will become the property of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and will not be returned. This RFI does not restrict the U.S. Government’s approach on any future Solicitation or Notice of Funding Opportunity. Responses to this RFI are strictly voluntary, and USAID will not reimburse respondents for the preparation of information submitted in response to this RFI. Responses to this notice cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract or assistance award. Respondents will receive electronic confirmation acknowledging receipt but will not receive individualized feedback on any suggestions. Submissions in response to this RFI will not be returned and respondents will not be notified of the results of the review. Questions regarding this announcement will not be answered. After USAID reviews and considers any responses, a decision will be made regarding whether and how to proceed with the new potential activity. Not responding to this request does not preclude participation in any future solicitation or funding opportunity, if any is issued. USAID reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for USAID’s own purposes. While it is not the intention to make public any response to this request, proprietary and sensitive information must not be sent.
