Request for Information on Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grant ProgramThis is a Request for Information issued by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Advanced Manufacturing Office. Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, which reports to the Office of the Under Secretary for Infrastructure, manages a portfolio of annual appropriations and programs to build a secure, resilient, and diverse domestic energy sector industrial base. In this Request for Information, the U.S. Department of Energy seeks information about how design and implementation of the Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grant Program can best support community development, catalyze economic revitalization, create good-paying jobs, and support investment in local infrastructure in communities where coal mines and coal power plants have closed. This Request for Information also seeks information regarding how this Program can best facilitate transition of existing assets, infrastructure, and workforce capabilities to provide the foundation for sustained future economic growth.This is a Request for Information only. The U.S. Department of Energy will not pay for information provided under this Request for Information and no project will be supported as a result of this Request for Information. This Request for Information is not accepting applications for financial assistance or financial incentives. The U.S. Department of Energy may or may not issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement based on consideration of the input received from this Request for Information.
