Description

The General Directorate of Public Force of Costa Rica has put into practice multiple innovative actions towards the optimization of the Preventive Police Management Model (PPMM). In 2019, the General Directorate of Fuerza Publica began a process of modernization of the current police management model. With the support of a Costa Rican team of interdisciplinary professionals specialized in industrial engineering, geography, statistics, police management and crime prevention, work was carried out for 18 months with the guidance of the Police Intelligence Department, the Department of Plans and Operations, the Directorate of Preventive Police Programs, Regional Directorates, Police Stations, and the General Directorate in this new Preventive Police Management Model.
