Disclaimer: This Notice of Intent is for informational purposes only. The Department of Energy is not seeking comments on the information contained in the notice. The United States Department of Energy Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chain intends to issue Funding Opportunity Announcement No. DE-FOA-0002969, titled Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: State Manufacturing Leadership Program, Section 40534. The Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains intends to issue the Funding Opportunity Announcement in the March 2023 timeframe, and it will be funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The anticipated Funding Opportunity Announcement will support BIL Section 40534, which establishes the State Manufacturing Leadership Program. The Department of Energy anticipates that the Funding Opportunity Announcement will award financial assistance in the form of cooperative agreements to States, including, but not limited to, state energy or economic development offices, as defined in 2 CFR 200.1 to provide assistance to small- and medium-sized manufacturers to implement smart manufacturing technologies and practices, and to facilitate access to high-performance computing resources for small- and medium-sized manufacturers. This Notice of Intent is issued so that interested parties are aware of the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chain's intention to issue this Funding Opportunity Announcement in the near term. All the information contained in this Notice of Intent is subject to change. The Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chain will not respond to questions concerning this Notice of Intent. Once the Funding Opportunity Announcement has been released, the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chain will provide an avenue for potential applicants to submit questions.
