Description
A. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The U.S. Consulate General Erbil of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a program to build capacity among civil society organizations in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region and Kirkuk governorate. Please follow all instructions below. Priority Region: Iraqi Kurdistan Region, with particular emphasis on civil society organizations headquartered in Sheikhan, Halabja governorate, and Kirkuk governate. Program Objectives: Civil society organizations across the Iraqi Kurdistan Region depend on an ever-shrinking pool of money, largely from international organizations, Embassies and Consulates, and other foreign donors. In order to ensure the long-term viability of Iraqi Kurdish civil society, many of these organizations need additional training in fields including: (1) management & leadership skills; (2) donor development & grant writing; (3) budgeting and project management; (4) external communications; (5) and strategic planning. Participants and Audiences: The chosen audience should focus on those described under “Priority Region.” The minimum number of participants shall be 20.
