Description
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) invites public comment on its Request for Information (RFI) number DE-FOA-003085 regarding the DOE Critical Materials Assessment for energy. This RFI seeks public comment to improve the DOE Critical Materials Assessment including the methodology inclusive of the underlying data and assumptions, results, and draft list of critical materials. Specially, this RFI seeks input on the following categories: (1) Data and information to support revision of the analysis and (2) Improvements to the methodology EERE plans to issue the RFI on May 31, 2023 via the EERE eXCHANGE website https://eere-eXCHANGE.energy.gov/. If Applicants who wish to receive official notifications and information from EERE regarding this RFI, they should register in EERE eXCHANGE. When the RFI is released, public comment will be accepted only through the official email account CriticalMaterialsRFI@ee.doe.gov. Responses to this RFI must be submitted electronically to CriticalMaterialsRFI@ee.doe.gov no later than 5:00pm (ET) on June 20, 2023. Responses must be provided as attachments to an email. It is recommended that attachments with file sizes exceeding 25MB be compressed (i.e., zipped) to ensure message delivery. Responses must be provided as a Microsoft Word (.docx) attachment to the email, and no more than 10 pages in length, 12 point font, 1 inch margins. Only electronic responses will be accepted.
