The Embassy of the United States of America in Manila is pleased to announce an open competition for eligible higher education institutions (HEIs)to submit proposals to the 2023 Academic Writing Center (AWC) Support Funds Grant Competition. We seek proposals from institutional entities that meet all program eligibility requirements below. Philippine institutions interested in participating in this funding opportunity must submit a completed proposal application by July 28 at 16:00 Philippine Standard Time. The U.S. Embassy’s Regional English Language Office (RELO) is currently offering a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Camps entitled Establishing Academic Writing Center at International Higher Education Institutions. Potential applicants for this funding opportunity successfully complete this MOOC the associated MOOC Camp to gain a better understanding of various administrative aspects of AWC operations. Completion of the course is a prerequisite for obtaining funding under this award opportunity because the U.S. Embassy anticipates that many of the required elements of the funding proposal will be addressed in the MOOC.
