Description

OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. With this solicitation, OVC seeks to fund one Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Provider that will provide technical assistance to all awarded recipients under the OVC FY 2023 Expanding Access to Sexual Assault Forensic Examination (SAFE) Program. Additionally, the TTA Provider will establish regional Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training programs. Statutory Authority: Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2023 (Pub. L. No. 117- 328, 136 Stat. 4459, 4536) (State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance heading, para. 10(d)).
