Description

-This funding announcement opportunity (FOA) encourages investigators to submit research grant applications that will identify, develop, and refine effective and efficient methods, structures, and strategies that test models to disseminate and implement research-tested health behavior change interventions and evidence-based prevention, early detection, diagnostic, treatment, and quality of life improvement services into public health and clinical practice settings. -This FOA will use the NIH Small Research Grant (R03) award mechanism and runs in parallel with an FOA of identical scientific scope, PAR-06-521, that solicits applications under the Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant (R21) mechanism. -The R03 grant mechanism supports different types of projects including pilot and feasibility studies; secondary analysis of existing data; small, self-contained research projects; development of research methodology; and development of new research technology.
