In addition, this funding opportunity will support, within the Institute, the establishment and operation of the Jackie Walorski Center for Evidence-Based Case Management (the Center), which will identify, evaluate, and disseminate evidence-based case management best practices within the home visiting context. The Institute will accomplish the above goals through the following objectives: • Assessing the MIECHV home visiting workforce, such as workforce supply and demand. • Conducting an environmental scan as needed to inform resource development. • Maintaining a coalition of diverse partners, experts, and organizations to provide input and expand reach and impact. • Informing and supporting federal, state, tribal, and local efforts to recruit and retain the MIECHV home visiting workforce. • Establishing a comprehensive, online, and searchable library of resources, tools, and trainings. • Developing and/or refining professional development resources and tools. • Identifying and/or refining existing core competencies of the home visiting workforce. • Establishing competency-based professional development plans. • Providing technical assistance to MIECHV program leaders and staff to build capacity to address workforce needs and challenges. Housed within the Institute, the Jackie Walorski Center for Evidence-Based Case Management (the Center) will support effective case management strategies that will help families access needed services – such as medical, social, and educational services. The Center will identify, evaluate, and disseminate case management tools, resources, and strategies, to support the home visiting workforce.
