Description
The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $4,500,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.This NOFO is intended to deliver quality and equitable public health services for HIV prevention, testing, care, and treatment to reach UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets in Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago. Efforts plan to address HIV prevention, case finding, linkage, retention, and viral suppression gaps with a focus on key and priority populations. Integrated support to increase the uptake of HIV testing, strengthen linkage to care, improve retention on antiretroviral therapy (ART) and increase viral load coverage and suppression among people living with HIV (PLHIV) is key. Activities should include:Effective HIV/STI screening and testing services including HIV Self-Testing (HIVST), Index Testing, provider-initiated HIV testing and counseling and Social Network StrategyDemand creation for HIV prevention and testing servicesBiomedical and other prevention strategies (e.g., Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for eligible clients according to national guidelines at health facilities, including youth appropriate clinicsImprove enabling environment for non-stigmatizing and non-discriminatory provision of health care servicesFidelity in implementation of return and recovery interventionsPerson-centered application of retention measures and antiretroviral (ARV) regimes. The recipient should prioritize service quality data for decision-making and program improvement.
