Description
The purpose of the JRS APS, as stated in the initial announcement, is to empower USAID and its Missions to seek solutions to JRS-related challenges, to engage new and underutilized partners, to solve problems not adequately addressed by other USAID investments, and to offer USAID Missions and USAID/Washington Offices a mechanism through which such work can be innovatively accomplished with dedicated support and expertise from USAID Washington DRG Center’s JRS team. The specific purpose of the LGBTQI+ Addendum is to support regional/multi-country initiatives to advance the holistic development of LGBTQI+ populations (i.e., securing their rights to employment, education, livelihoods, and access to basic services) and to more effectively respond to the harmful effects of anti-rights actors. Amendment #2 (updated 1/8/24): Interested parties may register to attend a Pre-Concept Note Conference for this addendum here by close of business on January 18, 2024. More information can be found at this link, as well as in the letter uploaded under the related documents tab. A previous amendment listed an incorrect date. Amendment # 3 (updated 1/25/2024): The purpose of this Amendment Three (3) to the LGBTQI+ Addendum No. 4 is to amend Addendum No.4 to provide answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and provide the power point presentation presented at the Pre-concept note Conferences held Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
