A. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The U.S. Embassy Tirana of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit proposals for funding under the Youth Activism program. This program seeks to develop the next generation of Albania’s leaders by fostering a culture of civic engagement, volunteerism, and activism. Proposals should include opportunities for youth to gain meaningful connections with their peers around Albania while enhancing leadership skills and implementing principles of diversity and inclusion. The program will use various methods of engaging youth such as digital tools, hands-on activities, networking, and mentoring. Priority Region: Albania Priority Areas: · Develop and mentor Albania’s next generation of leaders. · Conduct activities to model and develop a culture of volunteerism and community service. · Foster civic engagement in youth through voting, political engagement, and other democratic values. · Facilitate and promote activism among youth to address issues of concern to them.
