Description
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is issuing this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to fund the invited applicant(s) only to continue specific prior grant award work through what is known as an “Administrative Funding Adjustment” or AFA. Created in 1995, OVW administers grant programs authorized by the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and subsequent legislation and provides national leadership on issues of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. OVW grants support coordinated community responses that provide services to victims and hold offenders accountable. The invited applicant(s) received this invitation to apply because there is documented reason why they should assume responsibility for carrying out a previously issued award. The invited applicant(s) must follow guidelines detailed in the original NOFO under which OVW made the prior award, unless otherwise stated in this AFA invitation to apply. The scope and purposes of the new awards will be the same as the previous ones. Award amounts and performance periods will be adjusted to account for funds already spent and the amount of time necessary to complete the work.
